I remembered things that I don't want to remember, Missile. While I know that dying here means I won't be able to escape that... death would be enough to help me escape the one who caused it.
Most of them are probably still caught up in the lives that were stolen from them. I lived too many lives already. To escape that would mean... not having to suffer any more. It doesn't sound so terrible to me.
... Being stuck in the same place, in the same situation over and over, and not being able to do anything about it... That's also really terrible, Miss Brilith. Believe me. And it sounded like that's what the ghosts have to go through each time a new bunch of guests are invited in.
That's the same sort of cycle I've been trapped in back home, too. The only difference would be that I may not need to be trapped with the one responsible.
