We talked to the girls - Peach, Plum, and Pumpkin. We asked if there were cures, whether they had them or if we could find or create them ourselves. We asked for others ways to restrain those who have been turned into monsters, besides their chains and cage.
They had nothing of use to offer us. As far as they could tell, a cure was entirely out of the realm of possibility. They can't give us another way to restrain them. All they could do was remind us of the rules we've been given.
...I didn't want her to die. I wanted to avoid the chance of anyone else dying at all.
Yeah. I get that. A big group of us all wound up in the library, because we were trying to track her down and couldn't find her. I don't think we could have done anything to trap her, either.
[But. Sighing.]
But when the girls say those things. . . I don't know if we can believe what they say. Either they don't know the whole truth, or they're not telling us.
[ they've been remarkably useless and evasive in answering questions. they focus on less on important matters and more on the frivolous things that don't matter when there are lives at stake. and they sing the praises of their master, despite the terrible games he's forcing his "guests" to play. ]
I think the only way we'll be able to get answers is to go to the source... but even then, we can't be certain that Master Blue will be truthful, either. But ther has to be a way to stop this.
This week, the other group who did the break-ins learned some things. We were going to talk about it at the trial, but there was too much to deal with.
Anyway, the gist of it is, those medical charts we saw in the hospital? Somebody's been doing human experiments here.
...Then I'll ask her about it, when I have a chance.
[ after the new week, probably. she's still a little upset with beau, but... beau is hurting, too. she cares about hunter just as much as brilith. better to let that lie, until this horrible week is over. ]
Everything we saw disappeared after we found the exit. From what I heard, the same happened with the other group. I have to wonder if it's some kind of fluke, something that Master Blue didn't want us to see. So if any other locked doors appear... whoever goes to look at them - they'll need to know what to look for. It's our best chance to learn more and find out what's behind all of this.
Yeah. And we didn't want anyone to feel like we were keeping important info from them, either. So someone'll definitely say something. Tomorrow, or Monday. We all have to work together.
[So, given that. Folding his arms over his chest.]
I'm not mad at you guys. I believe you, that you thought a long time about this and decided it was the best way to protect everyone. And I know Babo Kim risked his own life to do it this way, too. I'm glad Melt didn't hurt anybody else. That's all thanks to the two of you.
Just. . . from now on, let's make these kinds of decisions together, okay?
...He listened to me this one time. But I won't be able to stop him if he makes a decision on his own.
[ brilith isn't his master, or anything like that. she's only a priestess, and one without her magic, at that. ]
I think that's the best thing we can do - to tell everyone, so we're all on the same page and no one else will be left in the dark. We'll need everyone's help in order to find a way to end this.
But... wait a little, please? At least until Monday. If the antidote doesn't work...
[ then people will need their space, and some time to grieve. brilith will be one of them. monster or not... hunter was loved, even after such a short time. ]
I get that. I'll talk to him myself! But at least you can try and trust us, right? At least, trust how I'm going to vote in the future.
[Because he can't promise he's going to go along with any future plans to kill monsters, but...]
The code I live by is a rescuer's code. I'll save as many people as I can in the order of who needs saving the most, regardless of any personal feelings involved. So if I have to vote, that's also only going to be about the votes I can make that'll save people, not my personal feelings. I'll vote for monsters. I'll never, ever vote for somebody just because I'm angry with a choice they made. I'll argue with them, maybe even fight them. But I'm not going to execute somebody based on my feelings.
[As for Hunter...]
I'm gonna let the guys who know most about what's going on make that decision. But they'll probably hold off. Do we. . .do we think what 45 is planning is gonna work?
I do trust you. I don't know if that situation will come up again, but if it does... I'll try to let you know.
[ galo is so straightforward and honest that it's hard not to trust him, after all. it's just... difficult, with the position they're in, and honestly? she kind of wishes she were more gracious, like galo, to not let a grudge guide her vote. ]
I... I don't know. There's no real indication, one way or another. All we can do is try it and hope that it saves him.

What kind of things did you try?

That explains a lot, then. [ the monsters, the transformations... ] But did they find out why? What were they hoping to achieve?
...Did they find out if Master Blue was involved, or this a coincidence?
