[ well. brilith can't see, but she can certainly hear, and galo thymos isn't exactly a quiet guy. it would be harder not to notice he's around, so once she feels brave enough to do so, brilith speaks up hesitantly. ]

Are we really just going to leave her in there until we go home?

[burningrescue]

[He's definitely being broody and sulky after the trial, but he's not unfriendly. It's only that she's the one he promised first; no execution.]

At least she'll be safe there, and we'll be safe from her. I get the sense other people aren't gonna agree.

I think they may be worried that she could find a way to escape and hurt someone else.

[ which... is valid. brilith couldn't fault anyone for having doubts that some cage dropped over her would be an efficient long-term way of holding nikki. but there's something else on her mind too... ]

But the... the foam. She was sick, wasn't she? Maybe we should ask to get her some medicine, while she's in there.

[ even if it won't change everyone's opinions of her... it could still help nikki. that's what matters. ]

[They're planning to execute her no matter what they do. They already told Michiru she could kill her. But Galo also wants to refuse to accept that that's what will happen.

He gives her a smile.]

That's a great idea. I don't have anything, but it can't hurt to try and ask, right?

[ she can't see the smile, but knowing galo, she can hear it in his voice. so she smiles back. ]

My thoughts exactly. And if she can get better, maybe we won't need to keep her locked in, after all.

[ her hopes for that are slim. even if nikki gets better, she still killed someone who was very precious to another, someone who seems to be the type to hold a grudge. but brilith can hope, so she will. it's all she has right now. ]

week 2; post investigation

[burningrescue]

[Coming to find Brilith after the investigation piece is wrapped up. He's nearly dead on his feet, yawning, carrying with him what looks like a cute little doll version of himself.]

[ he'll find her in the chapel, curled up and quiet. she looks up when galo enters, but the reaction is delayed, like she doesn't want to move, but she'll offer him a faint smile. ]

...Galo. I'm glad you're alright.

[burningrescue]

[Nodding! He's looking around in here, but whatever he's looking for he doesn't see it, sighing angrily and running his hands through his hair.]

Yeah. What a mess, though! Are you okay?

[infire]

A little shaken, but... I'm fine.

...Were you looking for something?

week 2, saturday.

[infire]

[ she'd agreed to talk about things later. no matter how terrible she feels, brilith is a woman of her word. once she's relatively calmer, she'll go looking for him, and offer a strained smile. ]

Galo. Hello.

[burningrescue]

Brilith.

[He'll give her a small smile, too. He's still upset with the two of them, but not enough that he's going to be unfriendly.]

Hey. Okay, we've got time now. Tell me what you were telling me.

[infire]

[ she hesitates, if only because she likes galo and thinks he's wonderful. she doesn't want him to think less of her? but all the same. honesty is paramount, isn't it? ]

Someone who was rewarded by last week's vote told me that it was Meltryllis. I... We did everything we could think of to find another way of handling the situation, I promise you that. But nothing we thought to try could save her.

[Galo respects honesty, at least.]

What kind of things did you try?

week 3; monday evening

[burningrescue]

[Galo can be found climbing the astronomy tower on Monday evening! He's jogging up the stairs to see how quickly he can get to the top.]

[ well i sure hope having someone up there already doesn't mean he's going to bounce off of an invisible barrier! she's up here already with staff in hand, checking out some star charts, but she'll glance over at the stairs when she hears something. ]

...Did you just run all the way up here?

[burningrescue]

[He does slam directly into the barrier with an 'oof'!]

. . .Yeah?

[infire]

[ OH NO she hurries over, frowning. ]

Are you okay? Um... Come in, Galo.

[ that should suffice right ]

week 3; post-trial

[burningrescue]

[Well!! He's going to come to find her after trial, because what the hell was that! Where are you, Brilith??]

[infire]

[ sedation means she can't walk around much, so. she'll be in her room!




by which i mean room 15. her name is not on this plaque but eventually galo should find her. ]

[burningrescue]

[He still has to be let in, so. Knocking on the door.]

Brilith! I said we'd talk, so let's talk!

[He's probably knocked and said this on every door. Let him in.]

[ she groans, a hand going to massage her temple. ]

If I let you in, will you stop that?

week 6, monday

[ early on monday, she's looking for galo, wherever he may be. ]

Good morning, Galo. Do you have a moment?

[burningrescue]

[He is around! It's fine.]

Sure. What's going on?

[infire]

[ getting right down to business: ]

Have you spoken to the girls about the shackles? From what Plum said, they'll be invaluable in freeing Master Blue and escaping this place.

[burningrescue]

[Shaking his head.]

Not yet! Only when I talked to Plum at trial about it. I'll go talk to the girls about them, then! I figured they'd be important.
